DR. GALE WOMACK-JORDAN
Senior Associate
Dr. Gale Womack-Jordan, Ed.D. has been an educator for over three decades. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University in speech pathology and audiology with a minor in special education. Early on she decided that she enjoyed working with students with disabilities and has become a dedicated Special Education Professional.
While working in the area of special education in Michigan, she completed her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She later began teaching high school in a metro Atlanta school district while pursuing her Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.
While working on her Ed.D, Dr. Womack-Jordan became the special education department chairperson where she supervised a team of 18 special education teachers and two para-professionals. She also became certified as a Career and Technical Instructional Coordinator where she worked until moving to Atlanta Public Schools. To further reach students with disabilities, she also became gifted certified. She brings experience from all levels, kindergarten through grade 12, and specializes in Behavioral Concerns, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) along with Response to Intervention (RtI). In addition, she has experience with Ninth Grade Transition programming and with providing mentoring to both new and veteran educators in the area of Special Education and co-teaching.
Dr. Womack-Jordan is passionate about teaching all students but has a “sweet spot” for students with disabilities. She believes that all children can learn and that good teaching will help students with disabilities succeed academically. She lives by the motto: “Every child. Every chance. Every day.”
