My experiences with school innovation and improvement run deep:
  • I relocated to Greensboro in 2002 to serve as the founding principal-director of The Early College at Guilford, North Carolina’s first early college high school.
  • I was invited to become a founding member of the North Carolina New Schools Project advisory board a year later.
  • In 2006, I started LEADright in Greensboro as a professional services firm dedicated to improving the educational outcomes of students and transforming schools and districts.
So much has taken place since we started The Early College at Guilford.  I have supported the state's largest consortium of early college high schools as Guilford County's director of magnet and choice schools. I have also facilitated professional development for such places as Greensboro Middle College and The Early/Middle College at GTCC – Greensboro.  

Almost 14 years later it is affirming to see Early College flourishing. And what’s more, North Carolina currently leads the nation in the creation and support of nearly 80 early college high schools. Our collective work is making the difference for thousands of students and their families, and LEADright is ready to assist.
